My passion for
environmental planning
stems from my
love for the outdoors
I fell in love with trees at age of ten and never turned back. After rolling out and implementing a paper recycling program for my school district in high school, I studied environmental science at Cornell University. While at Cornell, I went backpacking for the first time and grew into working as an instructor for backpacking, trail running, and wilderness survival courses.

After college, I explored many professions in the environmental sector until I found planning. I was so excited to find a career that applied my skills in research, writing, and future-oriented thinking towards implementable plans to guide management of our amazing natural resources.

I fell in love with the mountains while living in Oregon, where I took an all-female course in mountaineering. Through this sport, I found strength and peace in a place that I would have never imagined for myself - on top of mountains holding an ice axe.

In addition to mountaineering, I enjoy the outdoors through rock climbing, backpacking, cross country skiing, and kayaking.
